California

We flew out to California to visit some family this weekend. Here's Grandma Pearl. She hardly ever sits down and puts up her feet, but she made this one exception for Tabitha. 

They shared some hugs while dad took a snooze...

Tabitha likes to "stand up" and demonstrated her baby steps for Aunt Carol and Uncle Ron...

...She also loved meeting cousins Sophie, Andy, and Kathy. We loved seeing everyone too!

We're seeing the most adorable smiles now and even hearing some giggles. Here's T having a ball on her mom's baby blanket. 

All Wrapped Up

Tabitha and I went to a babywearing class last weekend and came home with a Moby. After some initial fussiness, she decided she likes being all wrapped up nice and cozy against me. And I like having her close enough to kiss, with my hands free to do other things. 

New Digs

At 23 inches long, T has nearly outgrown her bassinet and we've started the transition to her crib in her own room. Right now the crib is for naps only. But soon she'll move out of our room for good and spend nights in there too (sniff, sniff). 

I love peeking in while she sleeps, though. 

In the Backyard

Aunt Tracey, Uncle Glenn, and cousins Jack and Carter have a great backyard with a patio and fire pit. There are also lots of trees, a big lawn, bird feeders, and plenty of places to explore. Tabitha found a nice spot back there last Sunday, in her Aunt Tracey's arms.

She'll be running around with her cousins in no time.

Butterflies

Ryan mesmerizes Tabitha when he flutters his fingers. She loves to follow the butterflies!

Speaking of butterflies...

At 2 months, Tabitha is longer and stronger. She's now wearing 3-6 month clothes and can sit up for short periods of time.
